Make money as an affiliate

You have become an affiliate to make money, so our goal from joining affiliate programs is to make money as affiliates. No matter what the affiliate program or the affiliate who brought you to the affiliate program had promised you , and no matter what kind of products the program promote, and the commission they pay you, your goal from affiliate business is to make sales; and that’s what we call affiliate marketing.

Your affiliate business is built on selling affiliate products and making money as a commission per each sale you generate.

And there are two ways to generate affiliate money:

1. Affiliate business with affiliate website. Having your own website with your own original content will be the ultimate affiliate business. It take time to see results, but any effort you invest in your site will give you back good results.

Look at it this way: a website is like an olive tree, you need to plant it and take care of it for at least 3 years, in those 3 years you are investing money and effort to help the tree get bigger and stronger, and it will give you nothing in return. But it’s yours, you have full control over it, and when it starts to give it will never stop even if you stopped taking care of it. And it can live for thousands of years and keep giving year after year.

Your website may require less time to start give you back results, but when it starts it will never stop.

The problem with having your own affiliate website is the time and hard work it requires starting pulling money, and most, I am talking about more than 95%, affiliates quite very fast; they don’t have the time to wait, they don’t have the time to work on their website, and they don’t have the knowledge to do it effectively. Will all of that are excuses, and we are very good in excuses.

We love to be forced to do the job, the phrase “I have to” is easier than “I want to”.

a. You will launch a website, your website need to be informative and contain useful information and help about some theme (niche).

b. You need to add more content to your website frequently and update your existing content in a constant base.

c. You need to add affiliate products (as a recommendation, review, or as a banner or text advertisement).

d. You need to generate traffic to your website. (use your imagination)

e. You need to write articles, blog posts, Press Release and distribute them through the internet.

f. You need to build back links to your website and increase your page rank, so your website could show up on the first search results page in the search engines and you can start enjoy targeted hits to your website from the search engines (it’s the hardest but most effective job you’ll need to do)

When you are at your own, having a business and working for yourself, sometimes it look hard, and too much tasks needed to be done in short time. In our nature we prefer working as a robot, doing one task at a time without knowing what’s the next one, we like to be told what to do and how to do it.

For example when I say you need to have your own website, you will start “the excuses by”:

I have no idea how to build a website.

I hate learning, so I will not be able to learn HTML.

I don’t have the money for hosting and registering my website

I don’t know anything about promoting this website

I don’t have the time

O.K. I want to answer those excuses first:

Time, it’s hard to answer that, but here is a thought “successful business man who works 24 hours a day can always free an hour, because he is successful and he always want to improve; a lazy he sleeps 12 hours a day after that he has a meeting with his couch for a few hours watching his favorites TV shows after that he has a meeting with friends to have a beer or a dozen, you see he has no time for this B.S.

There are only to things you can say to any job offer or business offer:

2. The second way to make money with affiliate programs is by using the affiliate webpage or free WebPages. Affiliate money without a website:

Every affiliate program will provide you with an affiliate link, this is a link to the affiliate products that carry your affiliate ID. You can promote this affiliate link directly, but it will be very difficult unless you are using a paid marketing strategy like Pay-Per-Click.

Another way is to build free pages on the internet like squidoo lenses or Hubpage pages. There are some websites we call social network sites (Here is a list of some social network sites ) that provide you with free space to build your own pages, or blogs. With these pages you can write articles and reviews about your affiliate products and sell your affiliate products. In either way, having your own website or having a free WebPages, you need to promote those pages and make a sale; your affiliate money comes from a commission on each sale you generate. That mean you need to learn about affiliate marketing. How to generate traffic to your pages and convert some of these traffic into buying costumers.

Affiliate money from Network Marketing

Network and MLM are almost the same as affiliate marketing except the fact that you can also earn a commission on each sale you referrals generate.

With network marketing you need to make a sale, and in the same time refer others to the program, and build your own team of affiliates and earn commission each time one of them made a sale, and even better you will continue earning from their referrals too.

We promote network marketing programs because they have a tremendous potential of earning and with those kinds of business opportunities your affiliate money can reach the highest level possible.

I don’t want to talk too much about network marketing but you need to consider promoting at least one network marketing program. Here is an example
