In this free report I will try to help you out a little to Increase your link popularity. You already know that link popularity is the most important element of Organic search engine optimization.

Before talking about increasing link popularity, lets explain what is link popularity and page reputation.

Page reputation is the Page Rank (PR) that Google gives for each page as a sign of importance of the webpage. This sign reflect where in the search results this page will be. The higher the page rank the higher this page will be in the search results.

The reason of trying to get higher PR is to get traffic from the search engines, it’s very important to identify the goal then to draw the strategy plan to reach that goal.

We want to get traffic from the search engines.

I have a few websites 2 of them are targeting the home business and affiliate marketing, like this website (The Arabian affiliate) one of them is PR4 but the Arabian affiliate is PR2, the Arabian affiliate is getting 4 times the traffic that the PR4 website is getting from the search engines. The reason is that the Arabian affiliate is more than 17000 pages website and most of its pages are highly optimized, and some of these pages are the first on the search engine results for some keywords and long tail phrases.

So don’t make you goal to get Higher PR, make it to get more traffic from the search engines. To do so you need to optimize your pages, you don’t need to hire any one to it for you, and you can do it, it’s better for you and your online business to understand on-page optimization and learn how to do it.

Facts

How to calculate your PR? At first with 400 back links to your website you can get PR1, after that you need to calculate your PR on base of 8, to get PR2 you need 8times 8 PR1 links, to get PR3 you need 8 times 8PR2 or 8 times 8 times 8PR1 and so on. If you get 8 links of the next PR you will have better chance to get there, but you need to understand that there is a scale between 1 to 10 to the same PR, which mean you can get PR5 on scale 1 and your PR will go from 1 to 10 before going to PR6.

Again it’s a speculation that some SEO masters reached, they think that to go from PR1 to PR2 you need to have 8 votes from PR2.

Personally I think it’s not quite correct, why I am bringing this fact then?

I am not an expert on SEO to cancel some fact from other more experienced SEOer. What I know and sure for fact is that the value of each PR link worth 8 times the PR link that came before, how many links you need to jump from one level to another, only the guys at Google knows that.

However if you have at least a PR2 home page, and you have made on-page optimization you can be in the first result page, that’s also a fact. The popularity of your pages is also related to the traffic you get and the time visitors stay on page. Google can identify your popularity and bring your sub-pages to first result page without giving you higher PR. In the same context Google can give a sub-page of your website PR1- PR of your home page, without having any back links to that page, however having quality back links to that page makes the process faster and more effective.

On page optimization is a must do, but it cannot help you to reach higher ranking in the search engines. You need to at least reach PR1 to start getting traffic from the search engines if you have the best on page optimization for long tail (second tier) keywords.

To prove my point Here is an example:

I used a keyword phrase that has no importance (I don’t want to give you bad ideas), so I use the keyword Business Add Link

Some webmasters could use it for link exchange but almost all webmasters have an add link page on their website. Here are the results that Google bring

I have SEO tool for Firefox, in the red circles you can see the PR of each page, the first result is from my website with PR1 (My home page PR is 2), The second result is a web directory home page with PR2, the third one is a sub-page with PR3 (the home page for that website is also 3).

However the next page gives these results

You can see that the second result is PR8.

On the other hand even if you did not optimize your web page for some keywords but you used those keywords on your anchor text, and you have high quantity and quality of back links with those anchor text you will get higher in the SERPs when those keywords were searched for.

For example if you make a search with Google for the phrase “click here” you will get 1,370,000,000 results with Adop as first, next quick time PayPal and real.

I am sure that Adop did not optimized there pages to the keyword “click here” and you will not find the phrase “click here” anywhere on their pages, but still the page is first on Google. And that happened because thousands of back links to that page were made by the anchor text “click here”.

• Anchor text: is the text you use while linking back to your website, for example if I want to link to my website with the phrase Business Opportunity My HTML link code will look like this <a href=http://mydomain.com>Business Opportunity</a>, and the Phrase “Business Opportunity” is the anchor text .

• It will be a great idea to use at least 5 keywords and phrases that will be your main keywords as an anchor text, and rotate between those anchor texts.

• Try to use deferent anchor texts to your sub-pages when you are deep linking to your sub-pages. Long tail keywords are the best choice of anchor texts to deep links.

The Advanced linking strategy.

We will discuss her first the advanced, Linking strategy then we will list afterward a few other effective link building strategies that will help you increase link popularity by having  more better back links to your pages.

The advanced linking strategy is a combination of 2 elements, Authority sites and article marketing together in a way that will deliver a high quality targeted visitor directly and increase your Page Rank at the same time.

It’s easy and if done properly it will bring you amazing results very fast.

Here is how it goes:

You need to find some High ranked authority sites, where you can have your own free blog or free page.

Examples of such sites are:
Facebook
MySpace
Weebly
Squidoo
Orkut
Skyrock

Open an account with some of them and build a free page there.

My recommendation:

Chose at least 10 of them, and the more you have the best you will do, build it one by one.
Make a list of key phrases that matches you business. Use those key phrases as the title of your pages.
Write reports, or articles, you can get articles from the net but to get better results try to have your own unique content.
Link back from these pages to your home page and to some of your sub-pages.

Use your keywords as an anchor text.

Don’t have too much links.

Use pictures on your pages; remember those pages will get good quality of traffic so try to get their attention and make them click your links.

Now!

Although those websites are ranked high, the page that you will get will have no ranking at all, so the links on those pages will be a link from no PR pages or PR0 in the best case. And be certain that the PR of those pages will not change if you do nothing to them.

So you need to build some links fast to those pages.

Why to do so?

Because those pages are easy to increase the PR of them, they have a high PR parent, and instead of paying monthly fee to have your links in a high PR page (with no traffic at all). With a little effort you can have your links on a high PR page with hundreds of visitors from, free and fore ever.

Article marketing!

YES article marketing but not the old fashion way.

Important tip: you must bookmark all your sub-pages to at least five bookmarking sites, this way all your subpages will be indexed by the search engines and it’s a great back links.

You can do it manually, or you can use a button from addthis.com on each page. Then bookmarking each page.

However to bookmark each page we build will take us long time (I have a 17000 page website, and I have another 6 websites so it will take me forever to bookmark them effectively). That’s why I recommend an automated bookmarking software, or to hire someone to do it for you.

The other linking strategies are:

1. Link Exchange which you all know about, but I think its waste of time; however you can do something smart.
You need to have a link exchange page or directory in your website, and you can get link exchange requests all the time. Doing it automatically will result having good back links with no time invested. You can have a link exchange manager it’s the best in this field.

Also submit your website to any free link exchange service you know. This way you will get a free back link from the service website, and you can get some good links from their members. Services like LinkMetro.com

2. Article marketing, I have told you about article marketing, it’s the best linking strategy you can dream of, and if you use The Unique Article Wizard you will be amazed of the results.

Why?

Because using the wizard with one article will automatically make deferent versions of the article and distribute it to thousands of related categories and most important related blog.

Links fro blogs, are usually links from home page, then a subpage with high PR. And also it means traffic; you will share the traffic of those blogs, and get good quality hits if you can write good quality articles.

3. Book marking. We also mentioned it. Very recommended.

4. Submit your website to link directories, here is a list of high PR link directories.

5. Comment on blogs, I don’t care if the blog is “do follow” or not. If it has high PR with good content to read and discuss, I am in. It brings great reputation and sometimes good traffic.

6. Submit Press Release most of Press Release services cost too much, like PRWeb but you can find some great free ones, make a search for FREE PRESS RELEASE on Google.

7. Submit your RSS FEED to all feed directories.

8. Link bates. If you can have something of interest that other webmasters can find it helpful they will link to it and also bookmark it. (a list of article directories on my site brought me good bookmarks and good links, don’t steal the idea

If you can develop a script that other webmasters can use, do it and have a link on it to your site.

9. Publish free templates, if you are good with website templates, or blog templates, offer them free on your site where webmasters can download and use, put your links on the template where it will not annoy the webmaster.

Use your imagination and be creative, don’t use any black hat strategy.

Be helpful, by helping others you will increase your popularity and webmasters will link to you. Because they want to be helpful as well.
